According to latest figures, the count of centenarians in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the figure of men aged 100 or over has increased threefold from 910 to 3,100. Over the same period, the count of female centenarians nearly doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are keen to receive stories from those aged 100 or over, their relatives or companions, about what it has been like to live through the past century’s seismic events and changes.
